I’m a third-year journalism student at RIT with hands-on experience in reporting, editing, and managing teams across digital and print media. I have taken a variety of courses and learned valuable news skills, particularly in AP Style newswriting and using data and statistics. At Reporter Magazine, I’ve grown from a freelance writer to earning multiple managing editor roles, where I lead cross-department coordination and help shape the publication’s voice.
My work with the Rochester Beacon strengthened my reporting skills and gave me insight into independent nonprofit journalism, from community coverage to business and university reporting. I have also served in various roles on campus as a teaching assistant for a news writing course and a peer writing tutor.
I enjoy tackling stories that explain how communities work and why local issues matter. I’m always looking for ways to improve my craft and contribute to meaningful, fact-based journalism.
